Outfit guide for photo sessions

Not sure what to wear? no worries, here’s my tips to get you a look you’ll end up loving!

Simple is better. Limit patterns such as poke dots, stripes and plaid. Although patterns can work if done minimally and tastefully

You don’t have to “twin” with your partner but choose colors what compliment each other. If your partner wears a white shirt and tan pants you can wear a blue dress but add a white jacket or white headband so you look unified.

What’s the location? if you’re on the beach consider how windy it will be. Make sure to wear discrete shorts under a dress or wear flow pants instead. Also Consider your hair when it comes to wind, maybe try a half up, half down or an updo if it's a windy day

what’s the background? If you are shooting infant of a line of trees make sure you don’t wear too dark of colors so you still stand out.

what time of day? Consider how light or dark it will be out. This will contribute to how warm or cool the photos will be as well as how much contrast you’ll have.

What’s the vibe? Are we going for something dramatic and elegant or something laid back and casual.

Props…Consider a purse, sunglasses, shoes or no shoes, jacket, etc. These Items can be used as props for your session and add an interesting element that can add to the creativity and appeal of the photos.

Ultimately these photos are yours to keep so wear something that you are comfortable in that when you look back on these photos you feel the outfit flatters you and represents the ideal feel you were aiming for.
